This holiday weekend, amid the family chaos, football and food comas, we challenge you to dedicate a quiet moment to plan out a volunteer opportunity in Richmond. The holidays often inspire us to act, but non-profits need support year-round. No pressure to get this done by Sunday. Instead, think into 2018 and pledge a weekend, a day, an afternoon. You’ll support local, in a more peaceful experience than the frenzy of the mall or outlets. Our plan is to park and walk these neighborhoods. It seems everyone is hosting a market this season. We have eyes on Saturday’s RVA Artisan Market at Studio Two Three.   Family Escapes For many, family time will be in abundance this weekend. There comes a point when you need an escape – either with or from the family – to maintain sanity. WITH: Get outside. We're in for gorgeous weather, so walk Belle Isle, Maymont, University of Richmond – anywhere! Hit a playground, break out the bikes, throw a ball. Let an unplanned moment in the fresh air do the work.
